happy november! weekly giveaway no. 2
Dear readers - I'm so sorry that the next weekly giveaway was delayed! I meant to post the new giveaway last Thursday, after the first giveaway ended, but I've been so busy at work (I had to work pretty much every evening and all weekend on top of the normal 9 to 5) that I didn't have time to work out the next giveaway and get it posted.
So, to make up for it, this next giveaway is going to have THREE winners! :) Yes, I said THREE!
So, to make up for it, this next giveaway is going to have THREE winners! :) Yes, I said THREE!
A $25 store credit to use in my frolic Etsy shop!
How to enter:
There are THREE different ways to enter and I will be choosing one winner from each entry method, which means you have three chances to win!
1. Leave a comment on this post saying what you would spend your $25 on from the frolic shop if you won. I'll choose one winner from all the comments received.
2. Sign up for the upcoming launch of the frolic e-newsletter using the form on the right-hand side of this blog. I'll choose one winner from all the people who are subscribed to the newsletter (so if you're already subscribed, you don't need to do anything and you're already entered!)
3. Follow me on Twitter and tweet about your favourite frolic item. In your tweet, include a link to the item in the frolic Etsy shop and also include @shop_frolic so I'll see it. You can do this as many times as you wish and I'll choose one winner from all the tweets received.
Notes:
- This contest closes at midnight (ET) on Wednesday, November 23, 2011.
- Winner will be announced on this blog shortly after the contest closes.
- This giveaway is open worldwide.

celebrating november
In my "happy november! weekly giveaway no. 1" I asked readers to tell me what they were looking forward to in November (besides my awesome weekly giveaways, of course - LOL!) and there were so many reasons to celebrate that I thought I would share some of them.
So, here are some of the things that you, dear readers, are looking forward to this month! (The giveaway isn't over yet, so keep these awesome responses coming!)
There are A LOT of birthdays coming up! Not only readers' own birthdays, but lots of family birthdays as well. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY if you're celebrating one in November!
Of course, our American friends are celebrating Thanksgiving later this month (Canada already had their turkey and pumpkin pie in October) so lots of you are looking forward to that:
- Suanne said... Looking forward to pumpkin pie and stuffing. Bring on Thanksgiving!
- Susan A. said... I'm looking forward to having my first-ever family get-together for Thanksgiving at my house! Lots to do before then, but it's fun :)
There were some school and work-related events:
- Royce said... planning to celebrate a week off from work
- Marija said... I'm looking forward to the starting a new job!
- Anonymous said... I'm looking forward to getting my grad school applications finished :)
Lots of you are looking forward to some serious shopping, both during Black Friday and for the holidays!
- Maegan Morin said... This month I am looking forward to getting all my Christmas shopping done (hopefully lol)
I'm also insanely jealous of Deb from Two Cheeky Monkeys who said... I am looking forward to warmer weather (I'm in the southern hemisphere). :)
Some are celebrating really great news and milestones - CONGRATULATIONS!!!
- Maria D. said... I'm looking forward to telling family that I'm pregnant!!!
- All Wired Up TOO said... I'm looking forward to my 30th Wedding Anniversary.
This was the most unexpected answer to "what are you looking forward to this month" and I love it!
- TopHat said... I'm looking forward to buying a piano!
I had to go look up "kourabie cookies" after reading MiLulu's comment, which said... I'm looking forward to my friend's birthday and to the openning of kourabie cookies season in Greece (It will be a good month)
The funniest comment was from Armada V who said...I'm looking for 11/11/11, so that I could finally say "I told you so" to everyone who believed in the whole "the end of the world" nonsense
And finally, Birgit and Anna seem to share the same thoughts as me:
- Birgit said... I'm looking forward to ... hibernating all through winter! Well, it'd be nice if I could do that anyway
- Anna said... I'm looking forward to... the weekend!
Who can't help but smile after reading all these great reasons to be happy?

my new shop cards!
I'm so excited - I finally received my new business cards and postcards!
So, my list of to-do's for the shop re-naming is winding down:
With the new shop name, I had to re-design the cards, and I'm really happy with the way they turned out!
So, my list of to-do's for the shop re-naming is winding down:
- re-named the shop
- created a new blog, email address, Twitter account and Facebook page
- designed and ordered new business cards and post cards
...I'm sure I've forgotten lots of other things I need to do, but I think that's a good start. Now I can focus on making new products and getting them listed in my Etsy shop!
Talk soon!

pandacub --> frolic
For a long time I have wanted to change my Etsy shop name from pandacub to frolic, but there was no easy way to do so without losing everything that I've built up - things like followers, sales and feedback. Finally, Etsy launched a feature where you're allowed to change your shop name and I took full advantage of it.
Unfortunately, changing the shop name was the easiest part of my "to-do" list. After changing the shop name, I realized I had a TON of things I had to do, which included:
- designing new banners, avatars and other related images
- changing my Twitter, Facebook and blog accounts
- changing my email
- creating new packaging
- creating new business cards, postcards and mailing labels.
Argh! So far, I've only managed to design a new shop banner and avatar (what do you think?) and change my Twitter and blog over. I still have long list of things to do and I want to get them done in the next week or so in order to prepare for the holiday season.
Anyhow, I hope you'll head over to my new Etsy shop and follow all the exciting changes! To celebrate the new name, I'm also going to be launching a monthly e-newsletter with special offers and discounts and I'll also be running a whole bunch of contests - so please stay tuned!
If you have any suggestions or advice as I continue along this transition period, I'd love to hear from you!

welcome to frolic!
Hi everyone - thanks for visiting my new blog - blogfrolic!
This blog continues on the adventures of my previous blog, pandacub cafe. I had to make the switch to coincide with my recently re-named Etsy shop, frolic (formerly known as pandacub).
For followers of my previous blog (thanks for coming over here!), a lot of what I'll be chatting about remains the same - a lot of Etsy and shop-related posts, some foodie posts, and other random things that catch my attention.
As always, I really like interacting with my readers, so please feel free to leave comments, share links or email me at shop_frolic@gmail.com.
